If you are a regular visitor to the blog, you probably know that my daughter is a fireball. She was born that way and even though sometimes I don’t know what to do with her, I wouldn’t change a single thing about her. She’s beautiful inside and out. We share a lot in common (besides being related). We’re both pigheaded, opinionated and bossy. We kind of have to be since we’re both the only girls. I grew up with 2 brothers and she’s going to be the same. Sometimes we just need some girl time and this Mother and Daughter Brunch Date was a perfect way to celebrate!
Another thing my daughter shares in common with me is that she LOVES parties. She asks me about every week if we’re having a party and we usually are. I didn’t have to spend a lot of time or money on our brunch date, but I still made it special with printables, flowers and delicious Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast.

My daughter also has an affinity for fashion…especially shoes. We got some new shoes at Famous Footwear (get the exact shoes HERE and HERE) and wore the t-shirts that I designed for Cents of Style. I also made matching necklaces (tutorial coming soon). I look like I’m 13 when I wear flowers or bows in my hair, so opted out, but made my daughter a cute little hair clip from the flowers I got for the decor. I’m pretty sure this picture is my favorite thing ever. Photography is by my sister-in-law from Hilary Stailey Photography and she perfectly captured one of Riley’s expressions here.
I love creating memories like this with my daughter. My mom and I would always stay home when my brothers and dad went camping and we’d make delicious food, go for long drives and go shopping! Those are still some of my favorite things to do and my daughter is following in our footsteps! She’s such a loving, sweet girl and I adore her spirit. I’m just glad I get to share some of the same interests with her that I did with my mom.
